Later on DJ Rhythmystic really had the boat shakin in a freakish different way. I'm so hungry for innovation in the local music scene, and this hits the spot. He provided a refreshing escape from the predictable hordes of electropop bands and straight-up house and psytrance DJs that dominate SF nightlife nowadays. S.S. Vallejo boatmate and designer Ammon Haggerty, another DJ who served up sweet tunes in the main room that night, put a bunch of his sets online; listen to them for free here.

Greetings from the S.S. Vallejo moored in Sausalito. At 120+ years old, it's the oldest houseboat floating in San Francisco Bay and it's a fantastic space where many an artsy/philosophical/technological gathering went down through the decades.
