Snapshots from the Fire Circus

These are snapshots from Flam Chen’s fire circus last night. It was an impressive outdoor show on a spectacular evening in San Francisco.
After the show I spent most of the night just cruising all around town with my housemate Cheu, hitting the best hillside viewpoints like a wide-eyed tourist. The whole city was out playing, because in San Francisco we rarely see a night like last night: it was clear and warm enough to wear shorts, even on top of Twin Peaks. Last night, this town was Heaven.
UPDATE: Derek Powazek took better photos of the fire circus.
What an amazing event! Thanks for the info and invite. Wish I could have hung out with you and Cheu. Good thing we didn’t go to that party, Sion and Elaine said it wasn’t “happening.”
See you tonight at Flambe Lounge? Could us mortals be so lucky to see more than one siting of Mr. Savage in a weekend?
Enquiring minds want to know!
Why, you could have hung out with us, honey-chiiile… I wish you had. I asked you if you wanted to come along to Chinatown. By the time we got down there and finished the late-night snack I figured it was too late to call though. Sorry about that, next time I’ll be better about keeping in touch.
RE: Flambe Lounge — I sat it out because I’m supposed to be hanging w/ a friend from out of town tonight, but now she shined on me and her voicemail box is full… Just as well though, I’m so behind on homework, apartment-hunting, etc.; so I’m getting some of that done tonight.
But I will miss seeing all the playa friends tonight.
On a loosely-related note: Very reliable sources close to cheesebikini report that the Burning Man organization is negotiating with at least one Native American nation for the possibility of holding the event on their land in future years, if these problems w/ the local politicians in Washoe County continue… You heard it here first.
Argh! Sitting here in Tokyo, suddenly bummed because I missed a great SF party….. I love San Francisco!
